Grandmaster Sung Lee
Grand Master Sung Lee, originally from South Korea, began his TaeKwonDo and Hapkido training as a child and has accumulated over four decades of teaching experience in both Korea and Canada. He started his teaching journey during his service in the Korean Marine Corps, he instructed Korean and US troops in combat techniques. Immigrating to Canada in 1980, he founded the Sung Lee TaeKwonDo Academy, which has grown to three schools in the Edmonton and St. Paul area. Grand Master Lee emphasizes traditional TaeKwonDo values such as honesty, integrity, loyalty, and respect in his teachings, focusing on family-oriented programs. He views TaeKwonDo as a discipline that teaches self-defense, self-discipline, confidence, leadership, good citizenship, and physical and mental strength. Lee holds titles as an International Master Instructor, International Referee, and former Marine TaeKwonDo Instructor for both Korean and US troops.
